The famous Harley Chopper used in the movie Easy Rider was recently sold at auction for 1.35 million dollars making it the most expensive motorcycle in the world.
The Harley Panhead Chopper that proudly wears the American flag was originally ridden by actor Peter Fonda in the 1969 movie Easy Rider and won the most expensive motorcycle title from the Vincent Black Shadow which sold for 1 million dollars

Nicknamed the Captain America, this bike had been on display at the National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa, Iowa but will now be passed on to a new owner. Before the auction started the motorcycle was authenticated and proved to be the actual Captain America Harley that was used in the film. Bidding started at 1 million and quickly rose to the final price of 1.35 million
We are quite sure it will be some time until another bike wins the title of most expensive motorcycle in the world.
Easy Rider was a road movie that also starred Dennis Hopper and Jack Nicholson. The story follows two bikers who travel through South America on their Harleys. This classic movie shows the societal landscape, issues, and tensions in the United States during the sixties as well as the rise and fall of the hippie movement, drug use, and communal lifestyle.
