Sumarsono aged 64 who is locally better known as Ono Gaf has had a long career spanning over 40 years as one of Indonesia’s most renowned artists.

In this latest design he has visited scrap yards and industrial disposal sites collection a huge amount of discarded metal objects to create what is probably the biggest welded sculpture of its kind.

Ono Gaf now had no less than 11 national exhibitions showing off his works but the artist says these tent to attract foreign collectors who appreciate his designs much more than locals.

Each of his designs takes literally hundreds of hours take source and make and the finished sculptures represent incredibly details pieces of art that are appreciated world wide although shipping some of these enormous and heavy arts is not always easy.

This latest giant tortoise has taken over 6 months to put together and weighs in at over 2 tons.
