Check out today’s daily cuteness as mother and baby tree kangaroos share a kiss, surely life can not get any cuter than this?
Tree Kangaroos are incredible cute and very friendly but unfortunately this has out them on the endangered species list. They live in tropical forests of Northern Australia and New Guinea. Habitat destruction and hunting has caused their numbers to reduce dramatically over the last century. On the ground they appear to be quite clumsy but once in the tree they are incredibly graceful and can make jumps of nearly 30 feet with ease.
They are members of the Macropodidae marsupial family, giving birth to tiny babies which are then brought up in there mothers pouch until they are large enough to fend for themselves.
They are the only members of the kangaroo family to live their lives in trees, only coming to the ground on rare occasions.
There are several species of tree kangaroo which can vary in color but they all share the common color of reddish orange combined with white and cream.
Many natives from New Guinea keep them as pets because of their kind nature but this only leads to further dangers as so few are left in the wild.
