More than twenty of these baby chameleons are currently at the zoo and they are no bigger than the tip of your finger.

From the moment they hatch baby chameleons are able to eat by using their sticky extending tongues but because of their tiny size they can only eat small bugs.

Taronga Zoo is situated in Australia and have been looking after animals since 1884. They have won many awards for Best Major Attaction but it’s not just about the visitors. The zoo really care for the animals and go out out of their way to make sure all the residents at Taronga zoo are healthy and happy.

The zoo currently cares for over 4000 animals which are made up of 350 different species. Many of these species are endangered and so the zoo has numerous breeding programs to try and repopulate the dying species.
