There loads of custom Camaros at the Sema show in 2009 so we have made list of our favorites, see if you agree with our list.
1. Camaro Synergy
This is one of Chevrolet’s Camaro concept cars called the Synergy. It has a new color which will be available sometime in 2010. The Synergy features numerous General Motors accessories included 21 inch wheels, a ground effects kit, hood stripes a performance air intake and a high rear wing spoiler. All these parts will be available from Chevrolet dealers in the near future.

2. Jay Leno Camaro
This Camaro shares the same 3.6 litre V6 engine as the Chevrolet Camaro LS and LT. The Jay Leno Camaro blends performance and fuel economy, thanks to a pair of Turbonetics T-3 turbochargers blowing through an air-to-air intercooler. It produces 425 horsepower but GM claims the concept gives comparable fuel economy to the standard V6 Camaro under normal driving conditions.
Because of the twin-turbos, Chevrolet have had to install a large capacity radiator and a custom exhaust system. The car also uses a Brembo six-piston brake package to increase stopping power.
3. Lingenfelter T/A Concept
This is a Camaro 2010 with a Trans-am body kit. It is powered by a 5 litre V8 engine and kicks out an impressive 655 hp.
4. Yenko Camaro
The Yenko Camaro is powered by the standard SS 6.2 litre V8 wngine but has been fitted with a supercharger which boosts the horsepower up to around 600hp.
5. Hennessey HPE700 Camaro
This Camaro has a Corvette ZR1 supercharged LS9 engine sitting under the hood which kicks out a whopping 725hp.
6. Lingenfelter Camaro SS
This is another of Lingenfelter’s custom Camaros on display at Sema and it is powered by an enormous 7.0 litre V8 which churns out a mega 750 horsepower. This could quite possibly be the most powerful Camaros at the 2009 SEMA.
7. Bomex Camaro
This has to be one of the most extreme custom Camaros on display at this years sema. Japanese bodykit manufacturer Bomex have given this Camaro a more aggressive look with its wide body and low front, they also claim this is a one off model made for the 2009 SEMA show.
The big 22inch wheels have been given Rotora brakes, with eight-piston front calipers and four-piston rear calipers to slow this muscle car monster down.
The interior is just as loud with its red and black combination. I think Michael Bay should have used this version Camaro for his movie Transformers.
8. Hurst Camaro
Hurst have been well known for their custom Challengers but for the 2009 SEMA they came along with a Mustang and Camaro too.
SEMA, Chevrolet, eBay Motors and Hurst Performance Vehicles teamed up for a charity auction prior to the 2009 SEMA. They placed a Hurst custom Camaro on ebay.
It had 69 bids and sold for US$61,900.00. All the proceeds went to benefit the SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund, a program that fosters industry leadership by supporting the education of students pursuing careers in the automotive aftermarket.
9. GM Camaro
This is a gorgeous looking Camaro but I am unsure who has customized it. I came across it on the Internet and am unable to find out who is responsible for this muscle car. All I know is that it was on display at the 2009 SEMA.
If anybody could enlighten me I would really appreciate.
10. Forgiato wide boy Camaro
This one has a very aggressive wide body kit on it and comes with extremely wide 405 Pirelli tires on the rear.
So that’s a rundown of the custom Camaros on display at this years 2009 SEMA. Which one was your favorite?
The 2009 Sema show had a huge collection of custom Camaros with most of them looking amazing. My particular favorite was the Forgiato wide boy Camaro, I think the body kit looked so aggressive and yet wasn’t over the top. Which was your favorite and why?.
