These models dove 25 meters for an underwater photoshoot in front of a sunken shipwreck in Bali and the results are breathtaking.
Montreal photographer Benjamin Von Wong wanted to create something different but amazing so he hired a crew of experienced divers, underwater photographers and freedivers for a photoshoot 25m under the sea.
The models selected for the shoot were already experienced freedivers and appear as beautiful floating mermaids in front of the enchanted shipwreck. the white dresses were provided by international Bali-based designer Ali Charisma.
To make the shoot possible, Von Wong had to hire the right crew for the photoshoot. Instead of photo assistants, he had experienced safety divers who provided the freediver models with breaths of air from their oxygen tanks. The underwater setting prohibited the use of lighting so the photographers had to rely on natural lighting.
For some of the shots the models had to be tied down to stop them from floating away.
No photoshopping was used on any of these pictures, they are all real. The models were required to hold their breath for three minutes while shooting took place.
