Every 80s and 90s baby can agree the shows today are an insult to our childhood. Looking back, a lot of the shows were wild, funny, and had a good storyline. It’s hard to find that today in any show.
The good thing is we can still watch the nostalgic tv shows that won our hearts as a child. We can still watch them as adults. Ready to binge-watch on your old favs? Take a look at this list to get you started.
1. Hey Arnold!
Hey Arnold has to be on the top of the list for 90s kid nostalgia. This TV show has valuable life lessons intertwined with comedy every kid enjoyed. The series has strong friendships and even reminds us that yes, sometimes the person who loves you is terrible at showing it (Helga).
2. Powerpuff Girls
Girls (and guys) love Powerpuff Girls for their undying love for each other and those they care about which shows in their desire to protect.
If you really look at the characters, it reminds you everyone has a good and bad side and we all have our moments, even the girls. Still, at the end of the day, when there is something wrong and unjust the cute trio is always here to save the day.
3. The Wild Thornberry’s
Another DoYouRemember series is the Wild Thornberry’s. This epic show reminds us how crazy family can be, but we love them all the same. The relationship between Darwin and Eliza is amazing. No spoilers here if you didn’t watch the ending, but it is bittersweet.
It makes you wonder how different things could be if you had the ability to talk with animals too.
4. Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is one of the top comedy sitcoms to this day. The show is wonderful because it successfully mixes comedy, angsty, and a strong storyline with valuable lessons anyone can understand or identify with. It reminds you of the strength in family bonds.
5. Kenan and Kel
If you want to feel good and laugh, “Kenan and Kel” is the medicine. This is another 90s nostalgia show that provides you the disordered nonsense you need after a long day to relax.
There’s no real story, but if there is one, it’s also the strong bond between the leading casts. Who cares if you have opposite personalities? Everyone needs a friend like Kel.
Reminiscing Old Times With Nostalgic TV Shows
It’s funny how nostalgic tv shows hold a place in our memories we will always remember. We remember the old shows we watched for a lot of reasons. Some of us still remember quotes and lines several years later.
It’s good to be able to re-watch them again and feel all the joy, tears, and worries we felt before with our favorite characters. 90s shows are one of the many things we can share with millennials who are missing out.
