A new vehicle has recently come on the market that combines a jetski with a quad ATV and its called the Gibbs Technologies Quadski Price – $40,000
Gibbs Sports Amphibians is a company who special in amphibious vehicles. Their previous project was the Aquada which was just as efficient on land as in water and could reach speeds over 160 km/h (100 mph).
After years of development Gibbs has now released the amphibious Quadski (ATV).
Power by a 1.3-liter, four-cylinder BMW engine that pumps out 175 horsepower and 103 pound-feet of torque, the Quadski‘s top speed is limited to 45 mph on land and water, with just five seconds required to convert to each role, which is really great for vehicle that is weigh 1,300 pounds and more than 10-feet long. Its standard 15-gallon fuel tank will provide pleasant ride for a quite time.
This BMW-powered ATV, which doubles as a personal watercraft, will be on sale in U.S. next month for around $40,000. Gibbs wants to sell the Quad-ski around the world by 2014. The price tag will keep sales volume low, Gibbs admitted to reporters at a press conference.
“Just like flat-screen TVs and other things, the cost will go down,” said Gibbs, who added that Gibbs Sports Amphibians is targeting sales of 1,000 in its first year. The Quadski will be produced at the company’s assembly plant in suburban Detroit.
