GAME TRAILER: Need for Speed Most Wanted 2012

Electronic Arts has released the first trailer for the all new Need For Speed: Most Wanted 2012. The trailer reveals a bright yellow Porsche 911 Carrera racing through the open-world Fairhaven City.

Watching the trailer it appears that this new Need Speed game features collectibles inspired by Burnout Paradise, such as security gates, billboards, epic car chases, stunt-based driving and chassis-shaking take downs.

Need For Speed: Most Wanted has been developed by Criterion games and will be available on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, PC, iOS and Android from November 2, 2012.

The Plot

To be Most Wanted, you’ll need to outrun the cops, outdrive your friends, and outsmart your rivals. With a relentless police force gunning to take you down, you’ll need to make split second decisions. Use the open world to your advantage to find hiding spots, hit jumps and earn new vehicles to keep you one step ahead.
In true Criterion Games fashion, your friends are at the heart of your experience. In an open world with no menus or lobbies, you’ll be able to instantly challenge your friends and prove your driving skill in a variety of seamless multiplayer events. Your rivals will do everything they can to stop you from getting to the top. In this world, there can only be one Most Wanted.

News Dig

I find it odd that the creators have given this new Need For Speed game the same name as the 2005 Need For Speed Most Wanted. Shouldn’t it be Most Wanted 2?

Also I am a bit of a fan of the Need For Speed games and hoping it’s not going to be another Burnout Paradise but then again if there is going to be a few police chases thrown in then it could make it a bit more interesting. What do you think?
