The ‘Airlander’ is a Hybrid Airship, created by ‘Hybrid Air Vehicles’, was recently shown to the public for the first time. However, it was not open display, but only report of the hangar’s organization.
The size of the airship is really very impressive. In length it is 91.5 meters, a width of 34.5 meters and a height of about 26 meters. It is filled with 38,000 cubic meters of helium. The show took place in a giant hangar in Cardington, United Kingdom. Initially, the project was developed for the U.S. Army. But soon, the funding was discontinued and the developers have gone into an independent “floating”. Test flight of the airship ‘Airlander’ will take place this year. Vehicle can carry a payload of 10,000 kg.
