1. Lift The Rear
First, you’ll want to make sure your car is on level, solid ground. Jacking up a car on sand or grass is very dangerous. Be sure your car is on concrete or pavement.
Put the car in park, engage your handbrake and use a jack to lift the car.
2. Disconnect The Battery
Next, you’ll want to disconnect the battery. Any electrical short that happens during the process can cause a spark and ignite the gasoline, so be sure your negative and positive terminals are entirely disconnected.
3. Empty The Tank
Next, you’ll want to empty the gas tank as best as possible. You do this by using a siphoning tube. You will be dropping the tank from your vehicle, so making sure it’s the lightest it can be is crucial.

4. Disconnect Fuel Lines

Open the fuel pump housing and retract the old fuel pump. All you have to do is take the rubber caps and fuel sock off and retrofit them with your new fuel pump. It’s also best to replace the fuel sock.
Reverse Your Process and Start Driving
